THE WAY OF FEROCIOUS WOLVES
![]()
Wolves attack the Christians and the Jews, the Sheepfold of God in 2 ways. Firstly in smaller ways, taking on the individual weaker ones and secondly, in bigger ways, taking over the leadership and government of ministries and even the entire movement. How do they work?
The wolves that I refer to hereafter are the principalities and rulers in the spirit realm and also human "wolves" that are men who actually are never truly born again in the Spirit, but because of their greed, fall victim to the earlier mentioned fallen spirits to enter the Church to satisfy their lust for power and unrighteous gains. These are identified in the Scriptures as:
Jer 5:6 Therefore a lion from the forest shall slay them, a wolf of the deserts shall destroy them; a leopard will watch over their cities. Everyone who goes out from there shall be torn in pieces, because their transgressions are many; their backslidings have increased.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Eze 22:27 Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, to destroy people, and to get dishonest gain".
Zeph 3:3 Her princes in her midst are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves that leave not a bone till morning.
Jn 10:12 But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.
Matt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Matt 10:16 Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.By studying the characteristics of natural wolves, we can identify how these fallen spirits and human "wolves" enter the Sheepfold of God. Its time that the sheep clothing be ripped off the wolves and their deceptive and destructive work exposed. Each to his depth and grace given, he will be able to see how these spirits are at work in the world, in the Universal Church and even in his own situation. Read on to the end for some real shocking discoveries.
INTRODUCTION
The wolf is one of the largest members of the dog family, with its cousins like the fox and jackal. Wolves are hunters. For most parts where they live, they are contented with smaller animals. And during hard times, they take on vegetable food. But there are wolves that are expert hunters and prey chiefly on large hoofed animals, such as elk and moose. The Bible identifies it as the enemy of the sheep and the shepherd seriously guards against them, especially in the dark hours of the night. They are creatures of twilight. That's when they are most active and when their howling is often heard.Foxes and jackals are creatures of darkness and the wolf is one of higher rank among them, and it is more ferocious and fearless. Some are contented to remain in their territories while others are not, crossing their boundaries and going beyond far limits. Thus such foul spirits are now kept in chains of darkness reserved for the day of judgement. There are also those that walk in dry places, possessing little of what they are not given, and more others are aggressive fighters taking on ministers and saints of high calling.
They are absolutely evil and do not spare even the most innocent babe in the Kingdom, keenly working on their destruction. Thus it is required of all shepherds of God to be fully on guard in the spirit. Normally, the shepherd rod of authority is enough to drive them away. They become specially active in spiritual darkness or in times of confusion. Their howling casts an atmosphere of crippling fear and threat of destruction, giving a sense of despair, depression and terror.
WOLVES ARE VERY ADAPTABLE
Wolves can live in almost any climate, though they are seldom found in deserts or tropical forests. In ancient times, they roamed throughout the northern half of the world. They are very adaptable to all natural environment and spiritual climate. They are not restricted to any place or time. Their tactics are never outdated. It is not surprising that they inhibit the northern half of the world which has always been more aggressive and dominant, even till today. Oftentimes, the natural reflects the spiritual.
WOLVES CAN BE AS BIG AS MAN
Wolves can be as big as man, and look much like large German shepherd dogs. But a wolf has longer legs, bigger feet, a wider head, and a long bushy tail. Most adult male wolves weigh from 75 to 175 pounds (34 to 80 kilograms). They measure from 5 to 6.5 feet (1.5 to 2 meters) long, including the tail, and are about 2.5 feet (76 centimeters) tall at the shoulder. Female wolves are smaller than the males.Wolves are definitely more powerful than sheep. Thankfully, saints need not remain just sheep and lambs, but become lions, eagles and horses of the Most High God. Thus we must not stay as silly sheep and stubborn goats but must quickly grow into spiritual giants with the keen senses of eagles and powerful features of lions that overpower these fallen evil spirits and ambitious human wolves.
WOLVES CAN HAVE CLOTHING OF MANY COLORS & KINDS
The fur of a wolf varies in color, usually gray to tawny-buff, from pure white on the Arctic plains, through red and brown to jet black in the sub-Arctic forests. Most wolves have gray fur. Wolves of the northern and Arctic regions grow long, thick winter coats that protect them from the bitter cold. This is the most fearsome power of wolves in addition to their other capabilities and sharp senses, the power to deceive by taking on different forms to infiltrate unawares and then swiftly to take control at the opportune moment.
WOLVES ARE VERY SHARP IN SENSES
A wolf has excellent vision, a keen sense of smell, and fine hearing. These three senses help the animal locate its prey. A wolf can see and smell a deer more than a mile (1.6 kilometers) away.Fallen spirits live in the spirit world with extraordinary abilities and human wolves are intelligent men. They are sharp to locate and size up lone or weak or hurt victims from afar, always ready to devour. Again thankfully, the saints are given to be even more powerful in many ways having a direct relationship with God and the direct revelation of the Holy Spirit that go far beyond a spiritual mile, and into the future distance and into eternity. God has made it that without Him, we are weaker but IN HIM and in UNITY, we excel in spiritual power much higher even than that of fallen angels and much wiser than unscrupulous men, right up to the throne, into His glory, into the future and into eternity, like lions and eagles, far stronger and higher than the wolves.
WOLVES HAVE BIG APPETITE
A wolf has 42 teeth, including four fangs at the front of the mouth that are used to wound, grab, and kill prey. The fangs may measure up to 2 inches (5 centimeters) long from root to tip. The small front teeth are used to nibble and pull at skin. The sharp side teeth cut easily through tough muscle. The flat back teeth crush thick bone so it can be swallowed. The wolf has a large stomach and can eat as much as 20 pounds (9 kilograms) of food at one time. However, a wolf can go without food for two weeks or longer.Flesh cannot fight spirit. It is impossible. At the same time, human wolves can be very capable and highly organized, well back-up by the spiritual wolves with spiritual powers. They have all technology and machinery ready to deal with every aspect of the flesh to devour and to destroy and they have a never satiable appetite. Yet they can be enduring and durable.
WOLVES LIVE IN PACKS
Wolves live in family groups called packs. Most packs have about 8 members, but some may have more than 20. Some wolves leave the pack and become lone wolves. A lone wolf travels alone until it finds a mate. These two may have pups and form their own pack. Many lone wolves do not reach their goals, but fall victim to hunters and other wolf packs. Once finding a vacant territory, the wolf will scent mark it or readily howl to defend its territory.Spiritual wolves also walk in dry places and look for a resting place where they can have dominion over. While they only attack and fight to win, they are also destroyed by the same action. They that live by the sword shall die by the sword. Due to their mistrust and mutual make-use nature, they will not be able to sustain a sizable community, instead one that is unstable and self-eliminating. They are constantly devouring and are devoured by their own kind. They are quick to take control and announce their supremacy.
WOLVES ARE VERY AUTHORITY & HIERARCHY CONSCIOUS
Each wolf pack has a social order called a dominance hierarchy. Every member of the pack has a certain rank in the hierarchy. High-ranking members, called dominant wolves, dominate low-ranking members, known as subordinate wolves. A dominant wolf shows its rank almost every time it meets a subordinate wolf by using threats. The dominant wolf stands erect, holds its tail aloft, and points its ears up and forward. It may show its teeth and growl. The subordinate wolf crouches, holds its tail between its legs, and turns down its ears. It may also whine. Changes in leadership result in social turmoil as pack members gang up on the deposed dominants. All wolves are highly position and authority conscious. They insist on sitting in high places. They are power crazy and demand recognition. They are never servants but slave drivers. They will be quick to use threats and enjoy doing so. They rule by dominion. Subordinates submit not willingly but by force and threat. Jealousy, strife and hatred prevail. The leadership is maintained by strength and changed by power play and conspiracies. Turmoil, unrest, betrayal, and threats are just part of the wolves' kingdom. And such have already well infiltrated the Church, even into the high orders.
WOLVES ARE VERY TERRITORIAL CONSCIOUS
A pack lives within a specific area called a territory. Studies indicate that the size of the territory depends mainly on the availability of prey, ranging from 30 square miles when there is plenty to 800 square miles in scarcity. Wolves claim a territory by marking it with their scent. The leader of the pack scratches, defecates or urinates on rocks, trees, and other objects along the boundaries of the area. Other wolves then know where the territory is located. A pack does not allow other wolves to hunt in its territory. If wolves from another pack trespass, they would be attacked.Wolves are highly territorial conscious. There is no such thing as sharing. The weaker gives way and the stronger takes. But for survival, they stay together in a world of mutual make-use. Any one that comes from outside is attacked. There is no respect for their own kind. They mark their territory with urine, defecation and their stinking body odour, in contrast to the fragrance of godly presence as in Song of Songs 1:3. No outsiders are allowed to benefit from their territory.
WOLVES HOWLING AGAINST WOLVES
When pack meets pack, they fight and the common outcome is violent deaths. Thus they restrict themselves to a relatively exclusive territory, with an overlapping space, and they howl to warn one another to keep out of their respective exclusive territories, and to avoid unnecessary encounters. Yet they do not always howl, depending on how advantageous it is to do so. When they are more in numbers, the response to the howling challenge is more frequent. For example, a 7-10 wolves pack replied to 67% of the howls while a 3-5 pack replies to only 40%. But during mating seasons or when they have fresh prey to protect, the necessity of reply rates increased greatly. When a dominant wolf is killed in an encounter, the pack may be disbanded and its territory left for grabs.Wolves are highly exclusive in their possession and and are aggressive to one another to the extent of violent deaths. Wolves fight wolves. There is absolutely no concern for other communities of their own kind. If the neighbor's territory is left uninvaded, it's not because of mutual respect but because there is not enough strength to usurp it. They howl to maintain supremacy and to warn one another. They are bolder when they are stronger. They scheme and hide when they are weaker. But for greed and possession, they would risk their lives. Other than by force and terror, there is no other means of survival. At least in parts, the Church is characterized by this.
If the pack desires to seek out its neighbor, it may be best not to announce its position. And because a pack fails to reply as frequently as it should, the neighbors are kept uncertain and thus will not enter that territory. Another reason for not replying can be a deliberate invasion of the neighbors territory, by trailing straight into the residents location and launching a surprise attack. In some cases, the resident wolves died and in others, the pack disbanded after the attack, with its territory usurped by the intruders.
Wolves are very subtle and scheming, playing on uncertainty and surprises. They are highly tactical and skilled in warfare. They are cruel and ferocious, swift and merciless. They use scare tactics and give false impressions to project themselves beyond what they really are. If it is within their power to invade, they would do so lawlessly. They can be murderous and destructive beyond measure. Those who are more discerning would have by now realize that this characteristic and all mentioned above were typical of the ferocious Romans. This is the way of the spiritual and human wolves, the ferocious Romans and the way of the Greco-Roman world. Terror reigned wherever they went. We will later see why the Romans are specifically involved. Also the discerning person will begin to wonder how it is that such elements are also in part found in the Church of God.
FEMALE WOLVES FIGHT FOR MATING PARTNER
From late fall to winter, when breeding starts, only one female usually mates. Females may fight vigorously for that right. Even if the dominant female is not challenged, fights may break out among the low-ranking females seeking a higher place in the hierarchy. Juveniles and pups may join in the fights and some pack members may be driven out. Males fight to become the leader. Eventually the dominant pair copulates, generally 2 or 3 times a day for about 14 days. After that, the calm is restored until the next mating season when the fights begin again. The nucleus of the wolf pack is the dominant pair. Some subordinate pack members may decide to leave.Wolves are highly monogamous and exclusive in mating relationship. They fight and kill to mate. The females fight off one another in order to mate. Only the female champion gets to mate with the dominant male wolf. It appears that there is mating fidelity, but when a dominant male or female is disposed off because of leadership challenge, the mating partner is changed. The pups, the young ones too get involved in the strife. John the Baptist paid a high price, his head, for speaking against King Herod taking his sister-in-law as wife while his brother lived. The vicious she-wolf told her daughter, the pup to ask for John the Baptist's head as the prize for her entrancing dance before Herod (Mk 6:17). Wolves are exclusive and possessive over everything including mating partners, to the extent as to kill, to destroy and to drive out others in order to mate. This is one element that characterizes the Greco-Roman culture and is a typical scenario in the palaces of the Roman Caesars. This element of subtle monogamous exclusiveness is the greatest deception that has become a rudiment of the world and has entered the Church as holiness and righteousness. This was never so with the patriarchal fathers. A church that is infiltrated with the values of the wolves is one that is full of strife and struggles for position, power and the right to be exclusive in all aspects of life, including marriage.
WOLVES ON THE HUNT
Wolves eat almost any animal they can catch. For most parts where they live, they are content with smaller animals including rabbits, mice, fish, crabs and insects. And during hard times, they take on vegetable food. But there are wolves that are expert hunters and prey chiefly on large hoofed animals, such as caribou, deer, elk and moose that can be faster and stronger than they are. Therefore, such wolves are quick, tireless and clever to catch them. And it has been discovered that despite having enough game, wolves are still found scavaging in human habitations. Some wolves are contented with their domain as long as they have their territorial rights and their food. But there are those that would be ambitious to go for animals far bigger than their size, like the moose that is about 10 times their weight. In order to be capable of such feats as to take on animals much bigger than themselves, the wolves would have to be highly organized and tactical in their hunting expeditions.
Wolves hunt at any time of the day or night. When the members of a pack gather to begin a hunt, they greet each other with howls. Their howling may become very loud, and it warns other wolves to stay out of the pack's territory. Wolves roam through their territory until they find prey, also moving tactically in single file and spread out over a long distance. They then choose a particular animal and move in on it by traveling toward it in the direction opposite that from which the wind is blowing. This method prevents the animal from smelling the wolves. The wolves quietly inch closer to their prey, perhaps in single file. Then they break into a run, and the chase begins. 2 parties of wolves would charge forward and give left and right franking attack. This causes great terror and confusion and spurs the victims into a frantic run, with the franking wolves herding them. The herd then breaks into 2 groups, the swift and fast running off leaving behind the weak, aged, young and sick that would soon be surrounded by the franking wolves and by the rest of the attacking wolves chasing from behind. What follows is a great carnage.
To be competent for a common purpose and for survival, the intelligent wolves organized themselves well and move strategically. They move in opposite direction to the wind to prevent the victim from smelling their stinking odour. Thus they enter the Church undetected. But to the discerning eye, it is inevitable that they in their true nature will always go against the move and ways of the Holy Spirit. They would move in close enough and then break out in a sudden attack. The result is a disaster like that of wolves' attack. The weak, young and sick ones are devoured, and the stronger ones scattered in shock and confusion, or if the stronger ones stand in defence against the wolves, the weaker, the rebellious and deceived ones would be scattered and devoured. On the surface, what appears to be human disagreements and conflicts are always the underlying deliberate designs of the enemy that work according to plan. Who would believe that even animal wolves can be so tactically organized. What more about wolf spirits in high spiritual places and human wolves with high ambitions.
Wolves hunt and chase many more animals than they can catch. If wolves can catch their prey, they attack the rump or sides of the animal. They try to wound the animal and make it bleed until it weakens. Then they grab the victim by the throat or snout. Wolves can usually kill a large animal in only a few minutes. But the entire hunt may take several hours. The wolves may give up the chase if the animal is very strong, such as a healthy moose. They also may abandon the hunt if the animal is exceptionally fast.
A certain number would be under attack and those that are not running right or not strong enough to survive the attack would be the unfortunate victims. Wolves cleverly attack the weak areas of the victim and drain out their life blood until it is weakened. Christians must guard the weak and sensitive areas of their lives, make sure that the stomach (appetite for the Word) is healthy and the throat (fellowship in the Spirit) is well maintained. It must be noted that the process is long and may be tedious, and the wolves will not give up. Yet the final kill is always swift and deliberate. One of the survival prerequisites is to stay under the protective cover of true shepherds and to stay alert at all times, even when resting, eating and drinking. Shepherds and stronger animals must constantly keep watch and "circle" around the weaker ones.
Sick, injured or aged animals that lag behind their herds make easy targets for wolves. The wolf helps strengthen the herds of its prey by killing such animals. An old or unhealthy animal can be a burden to its herd. For example, an aged caribou eats food that other caribou need to raise their young. A sick elk may infect other members of the herd. By eliminating such animals, wolves perform an important natural function.
In the spirit, no child of God needs be sick or aged. Thus nobody needs to be redundant and removed. All sicknesses and injuries have to be healed the soonest possible, and thus no one needs be replaced like the natural animals. However, the fallen spirits and the human wolves will still finally fulfill the purpose of God to purge and renew the Sheepfold of God. In whichever way, whether the servants (angelic or human) would serve or rebel, they would still fulfill the purposes of God, either in honor or dishonor. Eternal rewards for the honored, and eternal damnation for the dishonored.
SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING
Looking at the condition of the world and the Church and seeing that certain behavioral patterns of individuals and leadership, teachings, theology and values are not just condoned but exalted, it is not difficult to see that wolves have indeed infiltrated even to the very core of the Church. Have you already identify some of these at work in your situations?
Matt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
But where did they first come from?
Legend has it that Rome was founded by two brothers, Romulus and Remus, who had been abandoned at birth, and then adopted and suckled by a wolf. Marcus Terentius Varro (a first century B.C. Roman scholar) dates the founding of Rome at 753 B.C. Both Romulus and Remus are names of many early kings of Rome.
It is no coincidence that the kings of Rome were identified with the wolf spirits. Fable or no fable, that which came through Rome and Western Europe had invaded the Church and taken control of it like ravening wolves. Countless sheep of God had been cruelly ripped apart, and brutally martyred through the centuries in the Name of God.
Jesus called the unbelievers "dogs" (Matt 15:26), and Herod He called "fox" (Lk 13:32). Thus of course, the dominating rulers, the Caesars are as "wolves"(Jer 5:6, Eze 22:27), the chief of the dog family. And the first decisive takeover was by Emperor Constantine, who claimed that he saw the "Cross" in the sky during a battle. He after that called himself a convert, declared Christianity as the state religion and himself, the first pope. Unbelieving rulers and religious leaders, one after another, entered the sheepfold to ravish, rob and strip the Church, bringing her into total bankruptcy, and clothing her with strange and filthy garments of heathen theology, full of lies and uncleanness (Rev 3:9).
Rev. 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
See these verses again:Jer 5:6 Therefore a lion from the forest shall slay them, a wolf of the deserts shall destroy them; a leopard will watch over their cities.
Zeph 3:3 Her princes in her midst are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves that leave not a bone till morning.Revivals and reformations in the last centuries had shed some light into the horrifying darkness of the Church, but to these days, the wolf spirits have never really left the Church but have taken on a new skin, making themselves look like sheep (as if they are of God). Exclusiveness, should-be monogamy (an inherent nature of the wolves), individualism and selfishness, possessiveness, demands, selfish territorial dominance, greed, pride, unfaithfulness, to name just a few are the characteristics of the wolf spirits. These characteristics are clearly anti-patriarchal (anti-Kingdom) and not of the ways of our forefathers. No wonder, prophetically the Testament Before Christ (OT) always without fail tells us that the way to return to God is via the ways of the forefathers.
Like it or not, we cannot argue against the words of the Lord Jesus:
Matt 10:16 Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
John 10:12 But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.and Apostle Paul that:
Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
But where in church history were these wolves that he spoke about? To these days, many of God's children are still in total oblivion regarding this. Which means that all that the wolves had done are still covered up, which also means that they are still very much at large, still unexposed!!!
Characteristics that are common to the wolves and the Romans:
- Highly adaptable to all climates, cultures and environments
- Highly skilled and organized in battles; ferocious, bringing down big enemies with strategic movements and tactical warfare
- Well equipped with offensive weapons of attack
- Cruel and aggressive, cunning, unfaithful, barbaric and ill-principled
- Full of jealousy and betrayal
- Subordination largely by force and constant conspiracies against leadership
- Constantly struggling for power and dominance
- The fittest survives and governs with brutality
- Prevalence of mistrust and violence
- Lawless, godless, poly-gods, bloody and savage
- Power crazy and slave drivers
- The winner rules according to his fancies and sets laws without principles
- Highly "should-be" monogamous and polygamy is not tolerated
- Highly possessive, hierarchical and dominating for selfish reasons
- Low tolerance for the weak and the subordinates
- Show of outward aggression, with much insecurity and fear within
- Low tolerance of other communities, incapable of harmony with neighbors
- Individualistic, exclusive, working together only for selfish reasons
- Ferociously guarding individual territories
Such characteristics of wolf communities, typical of the Roman kingdom have characterized the present Greco-Roman influenced world that we live in. All such fallen spirits rule in the dark ferocious Roman world, but they have also entered the Church as wolves in sheepskin. Which means that they have taken on a shroud of outward holiness. Thus they are humanly (in the flesh) impossible to be identified and dealt with, except by discernment with the Word of God.
Eph. 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
If you are determined to discern and to deal with ferocious wolves in the Church of God, you must be ready for change. If you are not willing to pay a price for change, you are not ready. And if you are ready for change,
