I PRAYED THE WORLD'S GREATEST PRAYER

But not because I was holy, neither because I was perfect.

Far from it. In fact, by 17, I was a foul-mouth, arrogant infidel and a mocker of those who believe in God. I indulged heavily in pugilistic meditation which backfired severely. I was in great spiritual bondage and my biological system was totally upset. My eyes were bloodshot and my eardrum burst. I was sickly and grossly underweight. My memory failed drastically and my IQ plunged. My aspirations were reduced to ashes, and my hopes were dashed. Everything collapsed into emptiness. Deep inside, I knew that I was heading for an inevitable crash with no possible recourse in this world. I knew no one could help me. I was all alone in the cold dark world.

There I sat, in the midst of a small group of 'pious' people. It was painfully humiliating for me to sit there and hear of how God could deliver and heal me. I told them, "Go ahead, just leave me alone. I am here only to observe." Then one of them put an arm around my shoulders and urged me to pray with him. With extreme reluctance, I followed word by word.

Something amazing happened during the prayer. At the end of it, I asked the young man, "Can we pray this prayer again?" I was a little disappointed with the reply. "No need, once is enough". I asked to pray again because in that prayer I encountered a power so great, so awesome yet so loving! A peace beyond description permeated my entire being. I just knew that I met God! He was there waiting for me! I need not explain my problems, which could not be sensibly described anyway. He just seemed to know everything. He must be God!

I knew I prayed the World's Greatest Prayer… it had to be! Light came in, and thereafter, my life was never in darkness again. The prayer not only broke the spiritual chains and shackles. It saved my life and restored my soul. I knew in an instance, I was healed spiritually. I could not explain. I just knew it. Shortly after that, I was healed physically.

Who is He that has this power?
A power far greater than the power of darkness.
He is none other than JESUS CHRIST,
the Son of the Living God, to whom I am eternally grateful!

If you have not, and you want to pray this World's Greatest Prayer, I wish to be the one to put my arm around your shoulders and pray with you. Whatever your needs may be, He knows.

Before that, I want to share an inspired word from the bottom of my heart ….

OH LORD JESUS,
So awesome is Your power, so great is Your might
Yet You come to take me by Your side
To hold my hands so tenderly, yet so tight
To open my blinded eyes, and to make my burden light
To heal my broken heart, and to win my beaten fights
To reject You, no matter how I tried
You never let me out of Your sight
Till I cannot hold back the tears that melt my pride
As I hear You say, "I come, to life that you might,
you see, on the cruel cross, I was crucified"
I can't but to cry, "Why for me should You die?
Why for me should You die?"
Then only I begin to realize
To pay for my sins is required a price so high
OH LORD, COME AND BE THE KING OF MY LIFE.
