POLYGAMISTS ARE SEX MAD

Only people who are sex mad want to be polygamists, because they need more sex.

This is a misconception. People who are all out for sex think little of carrying responsibility. Thus, they will not want to be polygamists where the word "responsibility" rules. A declared polygamist is a stigma in modern society. He is persecuted despite having to care for his extended family. A sex mad man would rather remain "unmarried", so as to live with anyone he likes from time to time, or be a serial monogamist who divorces and keeps only the one any one time that is satisfying to him, or remains as a monogamist indulging in irresponsible sexual escapades. Such will be the options of a sex mad or sex deprived man but not a true polygamist. Surprisingly, all these others are better tolerated than a responsible polygamist is. To a true polygamist, sex with his women is a reciprocating joy and a responsibility.

A vocal female polygamy advocate in Philippines went about surveying polygamous families and reported that she was surprised to find wives of true polygamists happy and fulfilled, living harmoniously together or in close proximity as a big family. She was pleasantly surprised that these polygamous men did not offer to have sex with her like the other monogamists whom she met. Females like that feel that it is better to share a good man than to have a rotten egg who do not deserve to have even one wife.

As a matter of concern, people with comments that polygamists are sex mad should check themselves. Because comments like that seem to reveal that such people do not see marriage beyond sex, as if the whole purpose of marriage is only for sex and nothing else. They can also be people who are having an unfulfilled or deprived sex life, and such can be heading for a marriage shipwreck. They can also be those who have a tinted image of sex and man or those who are just not happy to see others having more. They fail to see that in this modern generation, women have much liberty to make many choices and there are those who are happy and contented to share and be part of a polygamous family.
