Polygamy has caused so much family breakups and divorces. It should be avoided at all costs if a marriage is to survive.

On the contrary, polygamy considers to add, not to subtract. Unlike monogamy, there is no need to divorce one in order to take another. Thus the tendency to break God’s law of divorcing is not as high as in monogamy. Instead, a true polygamist attempts to fulfill his responsibilities under all circumstances. It is serial monogamy that necessitates divorce in order to marry another.
