A VISIT TO THE THRONE

During a prayer meeting, a minister was led by the Lord to say, "Somebody here will be taken up." The prayer group was praying and wondering who will be the one. The wife of a pastor was among them. She was illiterate, and was always very distressed over this, feeling she could not do anything worthy for God or her pastor husband. She could only receive God's word by hearing messages.

This sister suddenly collapsed to the floor and remained lifeless. When she came to, she recounted a journey in the spirit which lasted 7 hours, where two angels came and took her to a place where she saw Hell and then to Heaven where she met God. (II Cor 12:2)

She knew she was falling down, but suddenly found herself standing outside the window watching the prayer meeting that was held at the 25th storey flat. She could hear and see what was going on in the prayer meeting.

Two angels then held her by the upper arms and took her far away, moving at a tremendous speed. They came to a place and stood her on a rock. She looked down into a deep hole, as big as a sea and saw many people of many races. They were gnashing their teeth and pulling one another's hair. They looked up and saw her and cried, "Go away, do not come here. This is a terrible place." By the side of this big hole was a very wide gate and many people were squeezing in through this gate. The angel said these people were going to Hell.

After that, the angels took her higher up. She knew she was going to meet God. They travelled and came to another place. It was an extremely wonderful place, like a very beautiful park with a very long path on the outskirts. In the distance she saw God sitting on a white throne. As she drew near, she saw that God was shining so brightly, even brighter than the sun, like a white hot knife. As she drew near, she could see it was the figure of a Person, sitting on the throne. He was a very, very huge person and very bright, and the brightness covered the throne. So bright that she could not see His face.

Knowing it was God, she knelt down and realised why she could not get nearer. In front of her was a sparkling sea of glass, like jewels, gold in colour, and on the sea were seven lamps lighted and burning. And also by the throne, there were other thrones on which sat saints of old. As she knelt down, God stood up and asked her, "Daughter, what do you want?" in a very loud and authoritative voice, yet full of love, and full of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

She told me, "I had so many things, like finance for ministry and mission trips etc.. to ask of Him but they just would not come out of my mouth. I showed Him my open hands and what came out of my mouth was `God, give me Your heart' and He said, `I have already given to you. Go'. At that instance, I realised that if I have the heart of God, I will have all that I ever need."

The next thing she realised, she was back in the room where she was taken. It was 6.00am. At 11.00pm the previous night she was taken. How wonderfully, in a journey like that, the Lord spoke to her, taught her things which she could not read for herself, because she was illiterate.
